At meal time, the student enters his/her ID# on the key pad to access their account. The cashier will then enter the transaction and the purchase is deducted from the student’s account.
Students can deposit any amount of money by check or cash by giving the deposit to the cashier who will enter the amount in the student’s account. The check can be made out to Bedford Area School District. Please write on the check "lunch money and your child's name".
We also have an emailing system that will send you a notice twice a week. It will email any student’s home that has a negative account balance. Parents may check their child’s account balance online by using School Café. They can also make Credit Card or ACH Deposits by setting up an account with School Café. For more information please access the School Café Portal.

The PA Beef to PA Schools program hits home and in our very own cafeteria! The program is funded by a PA Promo Grant from the PA Department of Agriculture and facilitated by the PA Beef Council. The PA Beef to PA Schools program works to connect schools and their food service professionals to cattle producers in order to 'Beef-Up' their school lunches. The program provides the opportunity to place quality protein on the lunch tray for students to enjoy while connecting them to their local ag community, who sees it as a priority and passion to feed the next generation. Provided generously to Bedford Area School District for the 2023-2024 school year, fueling young minds with quality protein! Thank a farmer #PABEEFTOPASCHOOLS
