Superintendent's Message

Welcome Back!

Students, Parents, Staff, and Community,

I hope you all had a blessed and family filled Christmas and are starting a new year with renewed hope and excitement. New beginnings should always be completely saturated in hope. As I reflected on the Christmas season this year I thought of the times I had the chance to interact with children of all ages. Christmas is about kids and excitement and joy. As I played with a couple of little girls on Christmas Eve, to the chagrin of the adults I probably ignored too much, it became transparent to me once again – a new beginning – why I love the Bedford Area School District and my job. Serving and focusing on kids is important and so rewarding. Just like Christmas is about kids of all ages, so is education. The childlike wonder of learning is for all ages of kids. A school can set the tone for excellence, but the community has to want it, embrace it, and believe in the fleeting magic of childlike awe for the unknown and the hoped for. As we strive every day to set a tone of hope, growth, and excellence for kids, I BELIEVE this community does also. If you are part of this community, keep believing in new beginnings and the joy of excellence in learning. If you are coming to this area, join us and become part of something exciting and growing with every new beginning.
