The Bedford Area School District takes the safety of students and staff very seriously and we will choose caution whenever possible. Dr. Ruhlman is receiving updates from the National Weather Service and is monitoring other weather websites. Currently, there is potential for a weather system to enter the area and potentially affect PM dismissal on Wednesday. The weather system could produce rain, ice, and/or snow.
At this point, the District has not made any firm decisions and will continue to monitor the weather. The reason for this push is to notify parents of the possibility of an early dismissal on Wednesday afternoon and provide ample opportunity to make any necessary plans. The decision to dismiss early will happen around 10:00 AM Wednesday and will be promptly announced to parents. Again, this notification provides you with up-to-date information and an opportunity to make the necessary plans. If you have any questions, please contact your building administration.
