The Bedford Area School District has been monitoring updates from the National Weather Service regarding today’s Winter Weather Advisory. Due to forecasted snowfall beginning early this afternoon, with heavier amounts in the southern areas of our District creating unsafe travel conditions, we will dismiss students 2 hours early today to ensure their safety. Elementary dismissal will begin at 12:40 PM and Middle School and High School will dismiss at 1:00 PM. This decision has been made with the safety of our students and staff as our top priority. Again, Bedford Area School District will be dismissing students 2 hours early today and all after school activities are cancelled.
Additionally, given today’s weather conditions and the forecast for more winter weather, we will continue to monitor updates from the National Weather Service to make decisions for tomorrow and communicate with you as soon as possible.
