Bedford High School’s BotsIQ Teams Shine at Nationals
Bedford High School’s battle robotics teams made a powerful statement at the recent National Robotics League (NRL) national tournament in Springfield, Ohio, with three teams qualifying for the prestigious event and one team, Ronald Wreckin’, capturing the national championship title.
Ronald Wreckin’ Crowned National Champions
The team Ronald Wreckin’-comprised of Kowen Long, Bryce Wentz, Gavin Glass, Greg Covert, and Sean Cessna-emerged victorious after intense battles against top teams from across the country, earning the title of national champions. Their achievement highlights months of dedication, engineering skill, and teamwork.
Strong Showings from John Brawl Jones and Mount Crushmore
Bedford’s other two teams, John Brawl Jones (Ean Emerick, Gavin Maust, Shane Feather, and Haylee Fetter) and Mount Crushmore (Wyatt Blackburn, Thomas Blackburn, Ethan Witt, and Lily Dague), also delivered impressive performances, both finishing inside the top 15 at the national event.
