Bison Buddies is a program through that is designed to strengthen first grade students’ literacy skills while also building their social-emotional learning awareness.
Through mentorship with National Honor Society student leaders, younger students gain positive role models who support both academic and personal growth. Monthly themed events provide fun, engaging opportunities that foster a sense of community and connection between students.
September's visit to BE included reading Peanut Butter & Cupcake, a game where students moved to music and when the music stopped, they shared a favorite trait, interest, or hobby with their closest classmates. The visit ended with students coloring a bookmark where they set a positive goal for the month. NHS's next visit will be October 22.
