The Bedford Area School District continues to wrestle with the ongoing changes to attendance at sporting events.  The newest orders from the Governor modified attendance restrictions at both outdoor and indoor events.  In accordance with Governors modifications, the district is excited to permit some spectators at one of our most attended events - varsity football games.

In an effort to facilitate spectator attendance, the Bedford Area School District worked with football players, cheerleaders, and band members to determine a number of spectators that fits within the Governor’s mandate.  Our students identified potential guests and the district has created a stadium map reservation system similar to those found at professional athletic games in order to facilitate social distancing.  Therefore, Friday night’s football game will not be open to the general community.  It will only be open to guests invited by student participants who are registered in the registration system.  Participating students should check their school email for information about registering your guests.

If the Governor changes the spectator guidelines again, the Bedford Area School District will communicate these changes to the community and allow additional spectators as the law permits.  The district sincerely looks forward to the time when student events are fully open to our community again.  We miss your physical support and the roar of the crowd.

For individuals who wish to watch the events but are not permitted to attend in person, the district will continue to live stream home events so the community can view our students participate in school activities.  As always, we appreciate your support as we face these ever changing situations.
