During our recent student iPad distribution, the district recognized a defect with the company’s iPad screen protector. The original screen protectors were warped and did not have a secure fit to the iPad screen. This caused issues with screen sensitivity, unresponsiveness, and instability. With this knowledge, the district worked with the supplier and manufacturer to get the situation rectified.
The technology department requested a limited number of new protective covers to test and concluded it is necessary to replace all the original screen protectors in order to resolve the issue. The company is sending enough screen protector replacements for all student iPads. Unfortunately, these new protectors will not arrive prior to the end of the school year.
You will receive communication from the district when the new screen protectors arrive. Parents will have the option to pick up a new screen protector in your child’s school office over the summer, or you may elect to wait until the beginning of the school year to have the new screen protector installed.
