Volleyball Team in District 5 Finals

After an incredible season by the Lady Bisons Volleyball Team, they have surpassed their goal. “We all set out a goal at the beginning of the season to make it to districts and we did,” said senior Jessica Tracy. The volleyball team defeated a tough Everett Warriors team 3-1 to make the district finals. Going 1-19 in 2018, most planned on the Bisons having another mediocre season. However, the girls blocked out the critics, came together, and put in the work. “We are all very close this season… thats a huge part of it,” said senior Jocelyn Black. The Bisons are planned to play on October 29th at 7pm against North Star. I wish everyone the best, go win that District 5 Championship!

“How excited are you to be in your first district final? Any advice that you would like to give to an underclassman volleyball player?”-KC

“We’re all more than excited, but I think it’s a little more meaningful to the seniors considering we haven’t had much luck in the past years. We all set out a goal at the beginning of the season to make it to districts and we did. We’re all thankful to be this far. To any underclassman I would say don’t give up and treat every practice like it’s a game, cherish your time playing because it goes really fast.”

“You are in the district five finals, what has made a difference in this season than previous seasons?”-KC

“I would say we have come together as a team and we are close on and off the court. We have more desire to play and we want to win now more than we ever have. Coming off of a losing season last year really made us want to win this season. We are all very close, and that's a huge part of it.”
