4/20/23 The Bedford Varsity Softball team defeated Johnstown 17-1. The Bedford Varsity Baseball team defeated Johnstown 16-1. The Bedford Boys Tennis team defeated Bishop McCort 7-0.

4/20/23 Results from Yesterday's Varsity Track Meet The Bedford Girls track and field team swept all of their opponents at the meet beating Central, Bishop McCort, Bishop Carroll, and Greater Johnstown. The Bedford Boys track and field team won against Bishop McCort, Bishop Carroll, and Greater Johnstown and lost to Central.

4/18/23 Students, Parents, Grandparents, Staff members, and Community Members, The Bedford Area School District continues to plan for the future of Bedford High School. A large building project is often an important milestone in the history of a School District. Oftentimes, all school district stakeholders experience a variety of feelings about the project. Many times, those feelings are directly connected to their individual experiences. For example, if you are a student at the high school on a day the air conditioning or heat is not operating properly, you want a project. If you are a grandparent who struggles to enter the building or sit in the bleachers, you see merit in the project. If you are a parent who attends athletic events at other facilities, you may experience a longing for something better at BHS. If you are a community member without any contact with the building, additional information about the project may be helpful. As Administrators in the Bedford Area School District, we receive numerous questions from all community members. Some of the questions are, when is the project going to start? What is in the project? Are we getting a new field or a new gym? Why is the project really necessary, and what is needed? What can we do to help with the project? Your comments are important! Your feedback is needed! In response to the growing questions, the administration scheduled a meeting on April 20th at 6 PM in the auditorium at Bedford High School to discuss the building project. Additionally, the district will offer tours of Bedford High School before the meeting. These tours will commence at 4:30 PM at the main office at Bedford High School. In addition to the building tours, this meeting will provide a history of the project, current challenges, plans for the future building project, and a question-and-answer session. The administration will provide recommendations to the community and listen to public feedback. Again, a building project is truly a milestone in the history of a school district. Since such projects only occur every 30 years, we want to make sound decisions that future students, parents, grandparents, and community members will enjoy and experience with pride. Your attendance at this meeting is paramount to the public feedback process. If you remain silent, it is difficult to gauge the thoughts and feelings of the public. Whereas a resounding message would help move the project in some direction. Please schedule the meeting on your calendar and plan to attend. 4/17/23 The Bedford Boys Tennis team defeated Tussey Mountain 4-1.

4/17/23 Congratulations to the girls track and field team for winning the Giant Eagle Invitational team title on Saturday. Individual winners were 4 x 400 meter relay of Autumn Becker, Meah Eshelman, Katie McDevitt, and Grace Sarver 100 Hurdles Autumn Becker 300 Hurdles Autumn Becker 800 meter dash Meah Eshelman The boys team finished second overall. Congratulations to the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Jon Gresh, Kevin Ressler, AJ Koontz, and Ethan Weber for setting a new meet record. Kevin Ressler won the Triple Jump.

4/13/23 The Bedford Varsity Softball team defeated BG 15-0. The Bedford Varsity Baseball team was defeated by BG 10-0.

4/11/23 The Bedford Boys Tennis team defeated Richland 5-0. The Bedford Varsity Softball team was defeated by Penn Cambria 10-6. The Bedford Varsity Baseball team was defeated by Penn Cambria 11-6.

4/5/23 The Bedford Boys Tennis team defeated Somerset 3-2. The Bedford Baseball team was defeated by Forest Hills 16-1. The Bedford Softball team was defeated by Forest Hills 18-5. The Bedford Boys track team was defeated by Central Cambria 78-72. The Bedford Girls Track team defeated Central Cambria 85-65.

4/3/23 The Bedford Boys Tennis team defeated Bishop McCort 5-0. The Bedford Baseball team was defeated by Westmont 11-10.

3/30/23 The Bedford Boys Tennis team defeated Tyrone 8-1. The Bedford Baseball team was defeated by Chestnut Ridge 10-0.

3/29/23 The Bedford Baseball team defeated Everett 3-2.

3/28/23 The Boys Track team defeated Bellwood 84-66. The Girls Track team was defeated by Bellwood 85-65. The Boys Tennis team defeated Windber 5-0 and 5-0 in a doubleheader.

3/27/23 Bedford will host the District 5 Boys and Girls Basketball All-Star games tonight. The Girls All-Star game begins at 6:15pm and the Boys will follow. At halftime of each game there will be a 3-point shooting contest for the athletes. Tickets will only be sold at the gate. $3.00 for Students and $6.00 for Adults. Good Luck to all athletes that are participating.
