Bedford Elementary School

This past week, students at Bedford Elementary participated in a Read-a-thon. Students were asked to spend time reading each day and log that time. In addition, students could ask for sponsors for each minute spent reading. Bedford Elementary logged a total of 17,922 minutes spent reading. Our top three readers were Landon Sigel (5th) with 1920 minutes, Peyton Defibaugh (1st) 1235 minutes, and Taylor Peake (3rd) with 1038 minutes. The class with the most minutes spent reading was Mrs. Carroll’s 1st grade class with 3873 minutes. A total of $5,576 has been raised. We will be donating half of the money raised to the Bedford County Library.
