IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CHANGES TO BEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL BUSSING AND PARENT DROP-OFF/PICK-UP ZONES BEGINNING ON DECEMBER 19, 2024
December 19, 2024
The Bedford Area School District is excited to announce that construction for the renovation of Bedford High School is scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
During construction, the District will take every measure to ensure the safety of students, staff, community, and visitors while minimizing disruptions. The District will communicate updates on a regular basis throughout the project.
Important Transportation Changes Beginning on Thursday, December 19, 2024
Due to the closure of the high school parking lot during the first phase of construction, it was necessary to adjust school transportation and traffic flow. We made district-wide changes to our PM bus dismissal and parent AM drop-off and PM pick-up zones. The only change to the AM bus schedule is the bus drop-off zone at Bedford High School.
AM Bus Drop-off and PM Bus Pick-up Zones at Bedford High School
Bus drop off and pick up will be on John Street directly in front of the high school.
Please do not park on John Street during bus arrival and dismissal times.
7:00AM-8:30AM and 2:30PM-3:30PM
We will have three waves of buses picking up students in the afternoon. Please see additional information posted on the website about how this could impact your child’s return home in the afternoon.
AM Parent Drop-off and PM Pick-up Zones at Bedford High School
We encourage parents and guardians to drop off and pick up students on Bedford Street, between John Street and Watson Street.
Students dropped off on Bedford Street should enter the building through the BHS Gym entrance.
For the safety of our students and bus traffic, we ask parents and guardians not to use John Street for pick-up and drop-off.
