Sophomore English students participated in a unique challenge while reading Jack London's To Build A Fire.
During the story, a man finds himself going numb on a trail in the Klondike and has to build a fire for survival.
To better understand some of the challenges within the story, students were given six tasks (folding a paper, picking up a quarter, writing their name, etc.) to complete.
There was a twist to the directions, however. Students first could only use their elbows to complete each task.

Then, they could use anything but their hands and arms. It was a great team building experience with quite a few laughs along the way!
