Peyton Crosten and Darren Smith both participated in the PMEA District 6 and Region III band festivals.
District 6 band was hosted at Bellwood-Antis High School and students were under the tutelage of Ben Blasko of Lipscomb University in Tennessee.
Region III band was co-hosted by Mr. Lybarger and Larry Detwiler of Altoona High School and was under the direction of Dr. Russell McCutcheon of Gettysburg College. The concert featured challenging and exciting works and Peyton Crosten has advanced to the All-State Concert Band as well as the All-East Concert Band. This makes Peyton one of the top student bassoonists in the entire Eastern coast of the US!
