Earlier today, a custodian and plumbing contractor were investigating why a toilet was not refilling.  During this process, a bird was discovered in the school’s water line. We believe the bird entered the water line sometime within the last few days. We are unsure how this occurred, as the plumbing contractor informed us that all water lines serving the building have been sealed for over a year.

This evening, the plumbing contractor will super-chlorinate the water, which will take approximately 3 hours, and then let it sit in the lines overnight. Additionally, the district has copper pipes, which are naturally antibacterial.  After the super-chlorination process, the plumbing contractor will send a sample to the lab for testing.

The testing process may take several days.  While we are awaiting these results, we will continue to provide bottled water for drinking and cooking.  After we receive the results, we will notify you immediately.  We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
