Veterans Day

During a recent visit to BMS, Mr. Window’s brother noticed a flag that was created by the students.  The white stripes of the flag are thank-you notes recognizing our hometown veterans.  Stg. Windows took the flag back to Dover Airforce Base, Delaware, and it became the visual for a speech given at a Veteran’s Day ceremony.  The speech referenced smalltown pride for those who served the country.  This provided a chance to show the BMS students how far reaching an act of kindness can become.  Pictured with our flag at BMS is Stg. Michael Windows (22-year veteran of the USAF), Mr. Windows, and Mazy Windows (President of the American Legion Auxiliary for Dover, Delaware).  Pictured with our flag in Dover with Mazy is Tammy Hull (First-Vise Commander of the American Legion Auxiliary for the state of Delaware).  The flag will continue to hang in the state’s second largest American Legion throughout the holidays.
