The Bedford Area School District is monitoring the winter storm forecasted for Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Recently, we reviewed a weather report indicating heavy snow, icy conditions, and heavy winds during the morning commute. Due to the potential for severe weather during the morning commute and the possibility of flooding in the afternoon, the Bedford Area School District will use a virtual day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9, 2024. All schools and district offices will be physically closed; however, teachers and students will engage in learning activities and assignments at home via technology. If you have any questions regarding your child’s assignments, please email their respective teacher.
Please know the district values your child’s education and safety. Therefore, we will strive to meet both of those values through a virtual day during the inclement weather. Finally, the district continues to monitor the potential for flooding on Wednesday and will make any decisions regarding school at the appropriate time.
